5 years already! Hindsight, learning and AI as a new chapter
5 years ago, I launched Julie Web Concept here in Annecy. I had one idea in mind: to transform my daily professional life and bring beautiful web projects to life. Today, as I look back on my 50+ projects, I realize one thing: not only has my profession changed, but I myself have evolved profoundly.
The daily life of a solopreneur: a skills gas pedal Working alone doesn’t mean working in isolation. On the contrary, working with such a wide range of profiles – from local craftsmen to healthcare professionals (dentists, ophthalmologists) and training centers – has forced me to be a real chameleon.
These five years have been a continuous learning process, from simple website creation to real global project management:
Listening and advice: Learn how to translate a business need into an effective interface.
Technical adaptability: develop customized solutions (appointment scheduling modules, dynamic catalogs, secure online payments).
The Web of tomorrow: AI and the GEO challenge
Today, I’m celebrating this anniversary at a pivotal time. The web is undoubtedly undergoing its biggest revolution since its inception: the arrival of SEO powered by Artificial Intelligence, or GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
The digital landscape changes every week. It’s a huge but exciting challenge. My role today is to ensure that my customers’ sites remain visible, whether they’re consulted via a traditional search engine or via the new chatbot interfaces.
How to prepare your site for the AI era (My 2 tips)
AI puts reliability first. Here’s what we’re working on for every project at Julie Web Concept:
1-Structure your data :
AI needs certainty. Your rates, hours, zones and services must be clear and easily readable by robots. Transparency has become a referencing criterion.
2-Choose content "Question/Answer"
Users no longer search by isolated keywords, they ask natural questions. Integrating an ultra-targeted FAQ section, which responds precisely to your customers’ problems, has become essential if you want to be “read” by AIs.
The next chapter Being a solopreneur means above all refusing to rest on one’s laurels. Every project is a challenge, every innovation an opportunity to serve my customers better.
A huge thank you to you, our partners, customers and curious onlookers, who have placed your trust in me during these first 5 years. The next chapter promises to be exciting, and I can’t wait to see what we can build together.
